National Hispanic Heritage Month
September 15 to October 15 is the National Hispanic Heritage Month. The Greater Los Angeles Area Council joins in paying tribute to the generations of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and society.
National Hispanic Heritage Month traditionally honors Hispanic and Latino Americans' cultures and contributions as we celebrate heritage rooted in all Latin American countries. During this month, we share the history, heritage, and accomplishments of Hispanic and Latino Americans.

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month we will be hosting a Salsa Competition. So get out your mortar and pestle and start grinding your ingredients. The competition will be taking place on October 10th at the Pocket Park. All contributors must wear a mask and come with their submission sheet filled out. We will be streaming the judging live on Facebook for all to join. The Scout Shop will be open during the event as well for Scouters to shop for their favorite gadgets. We look forward to you joining the fun and remember, sí se puede!
