Trask’s Twilight Camp for Cubs - Weird Science!

Click here for the Parent Leader Guide

This camping event is a week-long, late afternoon/ early evening program for Cubs who will be new Wolves, Bears, Webelos and AOL this Summer. Twilight Camp is also ideal for those busy Adults who otherwise would not be able to participate in a traditional daytime event with their Cub(s).

The focus of any BSA Cub Day-or Twilight Camp is about FUN and to getting EXCITED about Scouting! Our theme this year is “Weird Science!”. This means that in addition to Aquatics, Games, Shooting Sports, Nature, Treasure Hunt and Handicraft Fun, a little STEM education will be infused into the program.

For those Parent/ Guardians who wish to stay while their Cub attends camp, we will be offering a FREE parallel program for the Adults. Adults can participate in Crafts, Nature, Treasure Hunt, Archery, BB’s, Trading Post and a Conversation and Coffee Forum on Scouting subjects. Parents or Guardian who are planning to stay in camp must show proof of their current Youth Protection Training.

Check in time 4:00 PM - The kids will then be assigned to their different “Laboratories” i.e., Dens for the week. All participants and Adults who are planning to stay are to bring their Medical form Part A and B. All current COVID guidelines will be followed.

There are no changing rooms for Aquatics. The Cubs are to bring their own towel and wear their swimsuit under gym shorts and T shirt. Swim suits should be modest in nature. Closed-toes shoes will be required. . Participants are to bring their own water bottle. There will be water coolers available for refill.  Program runs from 4:15 PM to 7:30 PM. Caravan down the hill begins at 7:45 PM.  The cost is $85 per Cub for the week. This includes all program activities and a snack. Participating Adults are FREE.  We are looking forward to providing the best EVER Twilight Camp for our Scouting families!
