Youth Protection Training Renewals for 2020

Many adults are renewing their Youth Protection Training (YPT) in preparation for rechartering. Here are some important tips:

  1. Make sure you are taking the mandatory, NOT the recommended lesson plan.
  2. There are four mandatory modules. Take a screen shot of each module completion, preferably with a timestamp if possible.
    • Overview and Policies v2
    • Sexual Abuse v2
    • Bullying v2
    • Certification Test v2
  3. Once you have taken a screen shot of your module completion, DO NOT CLICK NEXT. Instead, exit your browser window and start the subsequent module "fresh" from the "Mandatory YPT Course" screen.

By following these steps, you should receive a certificate within 24 hours. If you experience problems, please contact your unit's Training Chair or servicing Commissioner.

Cabrillo Scout Shop Holiday Giving Tree

This year the Cabrillo Scout Shop will have a Holiday Giving Tree to allow those that can to donate uniform parts to Scouts that are in need. If you know of any Scout at any level that need any uniform parts, please contact Cabrillo Store Manager John Luffman with the Scout names to set up tags to place on our Holiday Giving Tree. No names will be placed on the tree. The tags will by the Scout Shop so items go to the correct Scout. The Giving Tree goes up November 13 and comes down December 19. Thank you in advance for any input you may have. Thank you for all you do.
