Camp Trask Reservation & Activities

Camp Trask is a special place, tucked into Monrovia Canyon, only minutes from the hustle and bustle of the city. A brief drive up a meandering road camp and you are suddenly into a calming wilderness setting. The silence in camp is broken only by the sound of the year-round stream which flows through camp.

There are no city lights, so you can see the stars at night. There are lots of reasons to come to Trask: The dining hall, great swimming pool, Fort Rotary, showers and flush toilets, and outdoor amphitheater for campfire programs.

Important Notice:

To all our Scouting family and friends, Camp Trask has provided clean potable drinking water for over 40 years in accordance with State and local rules in regards to constant monitoring and testing and has met standards for MCLs and water quality.

Due to state requirements, the Trask water system design needs to be upgraded to meet a current detention time standard, we are currently correcting this design issue so that we continue providing our customers with quality water.

Until then, please bear with us, we are asking that when you visit Camp Trask you bring your own drinking and washing water to camp.

2017 Open Camping Weekends Cost: (Pool open from May 5-Nov. 12)

  • $6 per person per night (day use cost is same)/GLAAC members
  • $7 per person per night (day use cost is same)/Out of Council members

Non-Scouting Groups - Please call 626-351-8815 Ext. 241 or 249 to inquire about a reservation

  • $10 per person per night (day use cost is same)/Non Scout Groups with approval from Council and $2 million Cert of Liability Insurance

Payment for Open Weekend Camping at Trask is as follows:

  • 50% of total reservation required at time of reservation
  • Balance due 15 days prior to arrival at camp
  • Up until two weeks prior to camp, cancellation fee of 25% of total reservation cost, after that, no refund can be given and balance paid

2017 Open Camping Dates

**Only book confirmed camper numbers as the following policies will apply.

CANCELLATION POLICY AS OF APRIL 4, 2017:

Up until 30 days prior to camp/event:

  • cancellation fee of 25% of total reservation cost for each spot dropped
  • after that, no refunds will be provided
  • balance in full due

 

PAYMENT POLICY AS OF APRIL 4, 2017

Please only sign up confirmed campers as the Cancellation Policy will apply.  You may add to your reservation at any time if there is space to do so.

*Reservations booked under 30 days require payment in full.

  • Deposit of 50% of total registration cost at time of registration, if being mailed it must be received within 5 days of registration day or reservation will be canceled by council.
  • Balance Due 30 days before camp date
